flydubai to Launch New Service Between Dubai and Bhairahawa in Nepal

Starting November 10, 2024, flydubai will launch new daily service between Dubai and Bhairahawa in Nepal, complementing the carrier’s existing service to Kathmandu.

On Tuesday (October 22, 2024), flydubai announced the launch of new daily service between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Bhairahawa Airport, also known as Gautam Buddha International Airport (BWA) starting November 10, 2024.  This will become flydubai’s second destination in Nepal, joining existing service to Kathmandu.  flydubai’s new daily service to Bhairahawa will operate from Terminal 2 at DXB.  The return flights to Dubai will operate via Kathmandu.

In Tuesday’s announcement, flydubai’s SVP – Commercial Operations (UAE, GCC, Africa and the Indian Subcontinent), said,


“Bhairahawa Airport is Nepal’s second international airport and is located in Siddharthanagar serving the Lumbini Province, the birthplace of Gautama Buddha. We are pleased to continue to serve Nepal with the addition of our new daily service, underscoring our commitment to offer reliable and convenient travel options via Dubai’s aviation hub.”

flydubai started service to Nepal in 2009 with direct flights to Kathmandu, and has since carried more than three million passengers on the route.  The carrier has also recently started service to Basel (Switzerland), and Islamabad and Lahore (Pakistan), as well as Kerman and Kish Island (Iran).  With these additions, the carrier’s network has grown to 126 destinations in 55 countries across Africa, Central Asia, the Caucasus, Central and South-East Europe, the GCC and the Middle East, South Asia and South-East Asia.
