On Tuesday (February 13, 2024), Frontier Airlines announced the launch of six new routes from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) starting May 2024. New destinations include Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Boston (BOS), Houston (IAH), Portland (PWM), Pensacola (PNS) and Charlotte (CLT). The new routes are in addition to recently added routes between CVG and Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP), and New York-LaGuardia (LGA). For summer 2024, Frontier will serve 20 destinations from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky, with an increase in peak daily departures by 57 percent compared to last summer. In celebration of the new destinations, all routes from CVG and premium seat upgrades are now available from $19 (T&Cs apply).
In Tuesday’s announcement, Frontier Airlines’ Senior Director – Field Marketing and Sales, Michael Pewther, said,
“From New England to Florida, and Texas to the Upper Midwest, our growing route map from CVG represents a significant increase in ultra-low fare flight options for those in the greater Cincinnati area. We’re proud of our continued efforts to grow our operation at CVG, and we are grateful for the steadfast support and partnership we have received from the airport and local community every step of the way.”
Also commenting on Frontier’s expansion at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, CVG’s Chief Executive Officer, Candace McGraw, said,
“This addition of six nonstop destinations is meaningful to our community as it adds service to new or underserved markets and will be the first time CVG has low-cost service to Boston (BOS). Frontier has held an important role at CVG being the first low-cost carrier to provide service at our airport more than 10 years ago and we are grateful for their partnership.”
