This week Frontier Airlines is launching 13 new nonstop routes from Orlando including international service to Costa Rica, El Salvador, Jamaica, Mexico and the Bahamas. With the added routes, Frontier will now serve 81 nonstop destinations from Orlando.
On Tuesday (November 2, 2021), Frontier Airlines announced the addition of 13 new nonstop routes from Orlando International Airport (MCO) in November, including international service to Costa Rica, El Salvador, Jamaica, Mexico and the Bahamas. The new service expands Frontier’s Orlando network to 81 nonstop destinations, more than any other airline at MCO. Celebrating the launch of the new routes, the carrier is offering introductory one-way fares from only $19. To qualify for the promotional fares, tickets must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. EDT on November 11, 2021, for travel on select days through December 15, 2021, and through February 16, 2022 to Providenciales (Turks & Caicos), Belize City (Belize) and Antigua, with service starting after December 4, 2021. Blackout dates include November 20-30, 2021 and December 18, 2021 through January 4, 2022. A seven day advance purchase applies, but a roundtrip purchase is not required.
In Tuesday’s announcement, Frontier Airlines’ Senior Vice President of Commercial, Daniel Shurz, said,
“We’re excited to celebrate another remarkable expansion of service at Orlando International Airport with 13 new routes launching this month, along with three more coming in December. We’re proud to offer the most nonstop routes of any airline at MCO and look forward to welcoming new travelers onboard to explore our expansive network of international and domestic destinations from Orlando.”
Also commenting on Frontier’s MCO expansion, the Greater Orlando Airport Authority’s Chief Executive Officer, Phil Brown, said,
“The start of Frontier’s winter air service expansion is coming at a time when Americans are more ready than ever to travel again. With inaugural flights to domestic and international places like Sioux Falls, Idaho; Montego Bay, Jamaica; and Turks & Caicos, we welcome the ability to increase access to the country’s most visited destination and expanding travel opportunities for Central Florida residents.”
