Frontier Airlines Launches New Orlando, West Palm Beach and Atlanta Routes

Frontier Airlines will launch new nonstop service between Orlando and Guadalajara, as well as between Denver and West Palm Beach from November 2022. The carrier will also more than double their international destinations from Atlanta for winter 2022/23.

On Tuesday (August 16, 2022), Frontier Airlines announced a major network expansion with new direct service between Orlando (MCO) and Guadalajara (GDL), Mexico and Denver (DEN) to West Palm Beach (PBI) from November 2022, and the doubling of international flights from Atlanta (ATL) with five new flights from November and December 2022. New destinations from Atlanta include San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO), Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR), Nassau Bahamas (NAS), San Salvador, El Salvador (SAL), and Kingston, Jamaica (KIN). Frontier previously launched service between Atlanta and Cancun, Montego Bay and Punta Cana.


Frontier’s new service between Orlando and Guadalajara will commence on November 6, 2022 and will operate twice weekly. Celebrating the new route, the carrier is offering introductory one-way fares from only $89. To qualify for the low fares, tickets must be purchased by August 23, 2022 for travel on select days from November 5, 2022 through February 2, 2023. Blackout dates include November 19-23, 25-28, 2022; December 16-18, 22-24, 2022; December 26, 2022- January 3, 2023 and January 3, 6, 8, 2023. A roundtrip purchase is not required.


Speaking on Frontier’s new service between Orlando and Guadalajara in Tuesday’s announcement, Frontier Airlines’ Senior Vice President of Commercial, Daniel Schurz, said,

We’re thrilled to expand our route network in Orlando with these new flights to Guadalajara. This new service provides Orlando area consumers with an affordable and convenient new option to reach this region of Mexico. It will also provide Mexican consumers easy access to the most popular vacation destination in the U.S. along with an abundance of connecting opportunities within Frontier’s expansive network. With the new service, Frontier will serve a total of 61 destinations from MCO. And we’re excited to announce this new route from GDL less than three months after we launched nonstop service from GDL to Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas (LAS).”


In a separate press release on Tuesday (August 16, 2022), Frontier Airlines announced the

launch of new nonstop service between Denver and West palm Beach, the only direct service on the route. Flights will operate three times weekly from November 2022, with introductory one-way fares from only $69. (the same T&Cs as previously described apply).


Speaking on the new DEN-PBI service, Frontier’s Daniel Schurz, said,


“This expansion is further proof of our continued commitment to both Denver and West Palm Beach. We see the demand for our ‘Low Fares Done Right’ in both markets, and we’re honored to be the only carrier offering this exciting new service. With the addition of this new route, Frontier will fly to seven Florida cities from Denver, the most we’ve ever served.”


Also commenting on the new West Palm Beach service, Denver International Airport’s CEO, Phil Washington, added,


“West Palm Beach is a new destination for DEN and is a great addition to our robust domestic network. We are thankful for Frontier’s continued investment in DEN and are excited to offer passengers another option to travel to south Florida.”


In a third press release today, Frontier Airlines further announced that they will more than double the number of international destinations on offer from Atlanta (ATL) during November and December 2022, with flights to five new cities. New international routes from Atlanta include service to San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO), Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR), Nassau, Bahamas (NAS), San Salvador, El Salvador (SAL) and Kingston, Jamaica (KIN). The new routes follow the introduction of Frontier’s first international flights from Atlanta last year with service to Cancun, Montego Bay and Punta Cana. Introductory one-way fares on the new Atlanta routes range from $69 to $89 (the same T&Cs previously mentioned apply).


Speaking on the international expansion from Atlanta, Frontier Airlines’ Senior Vice President – Customers, Jake Filene, said,


“This international expansion marks an exciting milestone for Frontier at ATL. We now offer an extensive range of flight options, including an impressive roster of international destinations, providing Atlanta-area consumers even more opportunities to enjoy our ‘Low Fares Done Right.’ With the addition of these new routes, Frontier now serves 36 nonstop destinations in total from ATL.”


Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport’s Deputy General Manager and Chief Commercial Officer, Jai Ferrell, added,


“This is a significant moment for Frontier Airlines here at Hartsfield-Jackson. We are excited that Frontier will expand our travelers’ choice of international connectivity with these five new routes.”
