Frontier Airlines is launching service on two new routes from Philadelphia this week with four weekly flights to Portland, Maine and three weekly flights to Providence, Rhode Island.
On Monday (July 12, 2021), Frontier Airlines announced the launch of new service from Philadelphia (PHL) to Portland, Maine (PWM) and Providence, Rhode Island (PVD). The carrier will offer four weekly flights to Portland from July 13th and three weekly flights to Providence starting today (July 12th). With the added service, Frontier Airlines now offers 23 routes to and from Philadelphia for summer 2021. To celebrate the launch of the new routes, Frontier is offering introductory one-way fares from $29. To qualify for the low promotional fares, tickets must be purchased by 11:59 EDT on July 18, 2021, for travel through September 6, 2021. A seven day advance purchase applies, but a roundtrip purchase is not required.
In Monday’s announcement, Frontier Airlines’ Senior Vice President of Commercial, Daniel Schurz, said,
“We’re excited to launch service from Philadelphia to Portland and Providence. Frontier now offers 23 nonstop Philadelphia routes this summer and we are excited to add New England to the range of destinations we offer our customers in northeast Pennsylvania.”
Also commenting on the new routes, Philadelphia International Airport’s CEO, Chellie Cameron, added,
“Our guests are looking for vacation destinations with plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. Providence and Portland are perfect options and we are thrilled that Frontier chose to offer that service to PHL’s passengers.”
