Frontier Airlines is today celebrated the opening of a new crew base at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. The base is expected to support 340 pilots and cabin crew, plus maintenance and airport positions, generating $78 million in annual wages.
On Tuesday (May 23, 2023), Frontier Airlines announced the opening of a new crew base at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). Frontier’s President and CEO Barry Biffle, and DFW Airport’s Vice President of Airline Relations, Milton De La Paz, joined members of Team Frontier for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the occasion. The base is expected to employ 120 pilots and 220 cabin crew within the first year, and combined with maintenance and airport positions is expected to generate over $78 million annually in local wages. Celebrating the new crew base, Frontier is offering one-way promotional fares from DEN starting at only $39 to four new nonstop destinations, including San Juan, New York-LaGuardia, Cleveland, and Montego Bay. To qualify for the low introductory fares, tickets must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. Eastern on May 29, 2023 for travel on select days through June 28, 2023. A three day advance purchase is required, but a roundtrip booking is not.
In Tuesday’s announcement, Frontier Airlines’ President and CEO, Barry Biffle, said,

This new crew base will bring quality jobs to the DFW community and allow us to expand our affordable and convenient travel options to those across the region. This crew base demonstrates our strong commitment to DFW now and for many years to come.
