Frontier Airlines Starts New Nonstop Service From Tampa to San Juan and Montego Bay

Frontier Airlines has started new direct service from Tampa, Florida to San Juan Puerto Rico and Montego Bay, Jamaica. San Juan service will be operated daily from today, while Montego Bay flights will operate twice weekly from Friday, June 24, 2022.

On Thursday (June 23, 2022), Frontier Airlines announced the launch of new service from Tampa International Airport (TPA) to Luis Muñoz International Airport (SJU) in San Juan, Puerto Rico, as well as to Sangster International Airport (MBJ) in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Service to San Juan will operate daily from today (June 23rd), while twice-weekly service to Montego Bay will commence on Friday, June 24, 2022, marking the only direct flight between TPA and MBJ. Celebrating the launch of the new routes, Frontier is offering introductory one-way fares from only $89-$99. To qualify for the promotional fares, tickets must be purchased by 11:59 PM EDT on June 30, 2022, for travel on select days from July 6th through August 31, 2022. A seven day advance purchase is required, but a round trip purchase in not required.

In Thursday’s route announcment, Frontier Airlines’ Senior Vice President of Commercial, Daniel Shurz, said,


“Frontier is excited to add these two popular Caribbean islands to our route map from Tampa, making it affordable and convenient for area residents to enjoy these highly desirable vacation destinations. We continue to grow our commitment to serving the Greater Tampa Bay area and currently fly to 25 destinations from TPA, offering expanded options for consumers to take advantage of our ‘Low Fares Done Right.’”


Also commenting on the new service, Visit Tampa Bay’s CEO, Santiago C. Corrada, added,


“We are delighted to welcome this new connection between travelers from Puerto Rico, Jamaica and Tampa Bay. These inaugural flights will bring in more of our friends to experience our world-class attractions, discover our fine dining and enjoy wonderful shopping options that Tampa Bay has to offer.”


Frontier Airlines Launches New Service From Tampa to San Juan and Montego Bay
