The festive holiday season is officially in the air at Alaska Airlines with Starbucks cheer, decorated lounges and the return of holiday sweaters. The carrier has also unveiled a special Starbucks-themed Boeing 737-900ER livery.
On Tuesday (December 7, 2021), Alaska Airlines announced the rollout of the holiday season with Starbucks festive cheer, decorated lounges and the return of holiday sweaters. At Seattle-Tacoma Airport today, the carrier also unveiled a new special-edition Starbucks-themed livery. The aircraft, tail number N238AK, showcases Starbucks famous red cups filled with signature holiday beverages. The Boeing 7370900ER made its inaugural flight from Seattle (SEA) to Chicago (ORD) this morning and will fly throughout Alaska’s network throughout the holiday season.
Starbucks and Alaska will provision 50 flights with reusable holiday cups and treats through December 12, 2021, while offsetting the carbon impacts of the flights through their Good Traveler Program. Additionally, the carrier has launched a ‘BOGO all the way!' promotion, allowing guests who purchase one Alaska ticket to receive a second ticket for just the taxes and fees by using the promo code STARBUCKS. The special deal ends at midnight PST today (December 7, 2021).
In celebration of National Ugly Sweater Day, Alaska’s famous holiday sweaters are back to make the season a little cozier. Alaska guests who wear their festive sweaters to the airport on December 17th will enjoy early boarding. This year’s design is now available for early purchase at the Alaska Airlines store. Ugly holiday sweater wearers can also purchase a day pass to one of the carrier’s nine lounges in Anchorage (ANC), New York (JFK), Portland (PDX), San Francisco (SFO) and Seattle (SEA) for only $25.
