Starting October 26, 2025, Iberia will launch first-ever new regularly scheduled nonstop service between Orlando International Airport and Madrid, Spain.

On Thursday (March 27, 2025), Orlando International Airport (MCO) announced that Iberia will launch first-ever regularly scheduled service between Orlando and Madrid, Spain. The route will operate four times weekly with a 254-seat Airbus A330, connecting Spanish travelers with the theme park capital of the world, and Floridians with the iconic Spanish capital.
In Thursday’s announcement, the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority’s CEO, Kevin J. Thibault, said,
“We are delighted to welcome Iberia to MCO and its new non-stop service from Madrid. This partnership between Iberia and MCO has been a long time in the making and reflects our commitment to further promote global connections. Thanks to our capable Air Services Development team and the skilled Iberia team for helping to strengthen the cultural and economic ties between these two popular destinations.”
Also commenting on the new route launch, Iberia’s Director – Commercial, Customer, Network Development and Alliances, María Jesús López Solás, said,
“We are really excited to announce the opening of this new route next winter season. We believe that Orlando can become the star destination for next Christmas.”

The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority operates Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Orlando Executive Airport (ORL), two of Florida’s premier air travel gateways. MCO serves nearly 58 passengers annually across its three terminals, A, B and C. Terminal C is connected to an Intermodal Terminal Facility that offers high-speed passenger rail service. Orlando Executive Airport is conveniently located just miles from downtown Orlando, providing vital general aviation access to the heart of the region.
