On Friday (November 10, 2023), Airbus announced that ITA Airways has taken delivery of their first Airbus A321neo from Airbus’ Hamburg production facilities. The latest addition strengthens ITA’s all-Airbus fleet strategy, which currently numbers 81 aircraft, including the latest generation A220, A320neo, A330neo and A350neo aircraft. The carrier’s new A321neo is configured with 12 fully lie-flat Business Class seats with direct aisle access, 12 Premium Economy and 141 Economy Class seats, 12 of which are designated Comfort Economy.

ITA Airways’ new A321neo features the Airspace by Airbus cabin, which includes extra-large overhead bins and customized LED lighting designed to reduce jet lag. Each seat is equipped with the latest generation IFE system with individual screens and on-demand entertainment.

The largest member of the Airbus A320neo Family, the A321neo offers unparalleled range and performance, as well as the widest single-aisle cabin in the sky. Thanks to new generation engines and Sharklets, the aircraft delivers a 50 percent smaller noise footprint, as well as a reduction in fuel burn of over 20 percent and lower emissions compared to previous generation single-aisle aircraft. To date, Airbus has won orders for over 5,500 Airbus A321neos from customers worldwide.
