JetBlue has today announced the appointment of Steve Olson as Head of Systems Operations and Airports. Since joining JetBlue in 2022, Mr. Olson has served as Vice President of JetBlue’s System Operations Center.

On Tuesday (March 4, 2025), JetBlue announced the appointment of Steve Olson as Head of Systems Operations and Airports, reporting to Warren Christie, JetBlue’s Chief Operating Officer. Since joining the carrier in 2022, Mr. Christie has served as Vice President of JetBlue’s System Operations Center, leading the airline’s daily flight execution, while driving improvements in reliability and efficiency.
In Tuesday’s announcement, JetBlue’s Chief Operating Officer, Warren Christie, said,
“As we continue to strengthen our operation and enhance the customer experience, Steve’s leadership will be instrumental in driving collaboration between our system operations and airport teams. His expertise in operational planning, real-time decision-making, and continuous improvement will help ensure we’re delivering safe, reliable and seamless travel for our customers.”
Under Mr. Olson’s leadership, JetBlue made substantial improvements in on-time performance and disruption recovery. He also led a major operational modernization effort, including the addition of state-of-the-art aircraft movement and flight planning systems, with a new crew management system set to go live later this year. Steve Olson has over two decades of airline leadership experience. Starting his career as an aircraft maintenance technician (AMT) with the Air National Guard, Olson is a licensed aircraft dispatcher and commercial pilot.
