JetBlue Expands Partnership With Japan Airlines to Include TrueBlue Point Redemptions

JetBlue has today announced an expansion of their commercial partnership with Japan Airlines, which now includes TrueBlue point redemptions. Loyalty Members can now use their points to book flights on select JAL flights on the JetBlue website.

On Wednesday (April 23, 2025), JetBlue announced an expansion of their partnership with Japan Airlines. JetBlue’s TrueBlue loyalty members can now use their points to book qualifying Japan Airlines-operated flights directly on the JetBlue website. This marks the first time TrueBlue members can redeem points for travel with an airline partner in East Asia. With new access to Japan Airlines’ renowned service and premium cabin, TrueBlue members can now explore a range of destinations across Asia using points, including Tokyo, Osaka, Okinawa and Hokkaido.
In Wednesday’s announcement, JetBlue’s VP – Loyalty and Personalization, Edward Pouthier, said,
“We’re excited to expand the TrueBlue experience by growing our network of trusted airline partners, giving our members even more ways to redeem points. With Japan Airlines redemption options, we’re opening the door to more destinations for our customers to travel where they want, how they want.”
Also commenting on the expanded commercial partnership, Japan Airlines’ Executive Officer, and SVP – Mileage and Lifestyle Business, Yasushi Omoro, added,
“We’re delighted to announce our newest mileage partnership with JetBlue, a leading carrier based in New York. This partnership will enable JAL to enhance its network beyond New York and Boston, where direct flights from Japan are available.”
Additionally, the partnership will allow JAL Mileage Bank members to redeem mile for select flights across JetBlue’s vast network across Latin America, the Caribbean, Canada and cities along the U.S. East Coast.
