Starting May 22, 2025, JetBlue will introduce new daily nonstop seasonal service from Boston both Madrid in Spain and Edinburgh, Scotland.
On Tuesday (December 10, 2024), JetBlue announced an expansion of their transatlantic network with the launch of new nonstop service from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) service to both Madrid’s Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD) and Edinburgh Airport (EDI) in Scotland. Both seasonal routes will operate daily from May 22, 2025. Since entering the European market over three years ago, JetBlue has built a reputation as the airline of choice for affordable, customer-focused, and premium transatlantic travel.
In Tuesday’s announcement, JetBlue’s Head of Revenue, Network, and Enterprise Planning, Daniel Shurz, said,
“Madrid and Edinburgh represent two of Europe’s most exciting and popular destinations, and we’re happy to offer even more transatlantic travel options for our customers from Boston and New England. Europe continues to be part of our network strategy, as our loyal customers look for JetBlue's signature service and low fares to bring them to top leisure destinations, including across the Atlantic.
“Since launching flights to London in 2021, we’ve thoughtfully adjusted our European service to maximize value for our customers and our business. By aligning our schedule with peak seasonal demand and flying our aircraft to other destinations in the off-season, we’re capitalizing from a business perspective while delivering the destinations and experiences our customers love. This approach is driving meaningful results.”
Edinburgh and Madrid complement JetBlue’s existing transatlantic seasonal service from Boston to Amsterdam, Dublin, and London-Gatwick, along with year-round service to London Heathrow and Paris. For summer 2025, JetBlue will offer seven daily nonstop flights from Boston to Europe. JetBlue also serves Dublin and Edinburgh seasonally from New York-JFK, while Amsterdam, London Heathrow and Paris are served year-round. Inbound customers to Boston and New York-JFK will also enjoy seamless one-stop connectivity to JetBlue’s extensive network across the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean and Latin America.
