On Thursday (September 19, 2024), JetBlue announced plans to open new lounges at New York (JFK) and Boston Logan (BOS) airports, as they continue to expand their premium offerings and perks for loyal customers.  The carrier will open the new JFK Terminal 5 lounge in late 2025, with the BOS Terminal C lounge to open soon after.  This is the latest step in the carrier’s ‘JetForward’ strategy, which aims to meet growing demand for a premium travel experience.  The new lounges will offer JetBlue’s top level TrueBlue Mosaic® members a new Signature Perk, and will also be a benefit to the carrier’s new premium credit card which will be announced soon.

In Thursday’s announcement, JetBlue’s President, Marty St. George, said,

“Customers have asked for a JetBlue lounge for years and we can’t wait to unveil our take in New York and Boston.  Lounges have become an essential offering for the growing numbers of customers seeking premium experiences, and JetBlue’s lounges will further boost the value of our TrueBlue loyalty program as we expand our portfolio of JetBlue credit cards.  Customers love the JetBlue experience, so we’re pulling through those thoughtful touches you find onboard our flights into the lounge experience.”

Complimentary lounge access will be available to TrueBlue Mosaic 4 members, Transatlantic Mint customers, as well as holders of a new upcoming premium JetBlue co-branded credit card.  Mosaic 4 members and cardholders will also receive complimentary access for an accompanying guest.  Based on space availability, day passes and guest passes will be available for purchase by eligible customers.  Additionally, all customers will be able to purchase an annual lounge pass (details upcoming).  Mosaic members will also soon enjoy a new ‘Move to Mint’ Signature Perk.  Starting in 2025, Mosaic members who have earned 250 tiles will receive two additional Move to Mint certificates for every 100 tiles earned.

JetBlue’s New York-JFK lounge will span 8,000 square feet, while the Boston lounge will boast 11,000 square feet.  Both will feature the carrier’s iconic blue brand elements, coupled with local and regional artwork, as well as personal and functional amenities.  Each lounge will feature three main areas, namely Play, Work and Lounge. The Play area will be designed to offer guests a comfortable place to socialize and unwind, or enjoy a cocktail at the full-service bar.  The Work area will allow guests to stay fully-charged and connected with fast, free Wi-Fi, private workspaces, and free barista-made coffee bar beverages.  In the Lounge area, visitors will enjoy JetBlue’s iconic hospitality, with complimentary food and beverage offerings, while kicking back alone or in groups with cozy seating areas.
