On Thursday (January 9, 2025), Jetstar Asia announced the launch of new exclusive direct service between Singapore and Labuan Bajo in Indonesia starting March 20, 2025.  The city serves as the gateway to the UNESCO-listed Komodo National Park, and is renowned for its pristine beaches, world-class diving, and a chance to encounter the legendary Komodo Dragons.  The new route will operate twice weekly, complementing existing service from Singapore to Denpasar (Bali), Surabaya, Medan, and Jakarta.  Celebrating the new route launch, Jetstar Asia is offering introductory one-way fares from only SG$89, with Club Jetstar members enjoying even lower fares (T&Cs apply).

In Thursday’s announcement, Jetstar Asia’s CEO, John Simeone, said,

“With our direct flights from Singapore and over 37,000 low fare seats available each year, more people will be able to discover this incredible holiday hotspot.  From diving in some of the world’s most vibrant coral reefs to exploring the natural beauty of Komodo National Park or meeting the iconic Komodo dragon up close and personal, Labuan Bajo offers an unforgettable experience for every traveller.  As we celebrate our 20th birthday, this route not only expands our network but also reinforces our commitment to offering safe and affordable travel while supporting local tourism and economic growth, all while ensuring more travellers get to visit this hidden gem in Indonesia.”

Also commenting on the new service to Labuan Bajo, Changi Airport Group’s EVP – Air Hub & Cargo Development, Mr. Lim Ching Kiat, said,

“This is the first time Changi Airport is directly connected to this stunning destination, and we are thrilled to offer travellers even more opportunities to explore Indonesia’s breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage.  With the addition of Labuan Bajo, Changi Airport now has direct flights to 13 cities in Indonesia.”
