KLM customers booking air tickets can now simultaneously book a train ticket from Schiphol Airport the Amsterdam Central Station with NS Dutch Railways. The service has been designed especially for foreign visitors flying KLM to Schiphol and staying in Amsterdam.
On Thursday (January 20, 2022), KLM Royal Dutch Airlines announced a new guest convenience, where customers booking air travel on KLM can also simultaneously book a train ticket with NS Dutch Railways from Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam Central Station. The new service was designed especially for the convenience of foreign visitors flying into Schiphol who will be staying in Amsterdam. Travelers can now plan and book their entire journey in one place and can avoid waiting in line to purchase a rail ticket.
KLM customers already have the option of combining their air tickets with a car rental or taxi service via the booking platform CarTrawler, so the new train ticket is an additional option, not only for enhancing guest convenience, but also encouraging the use of rail transport. Once the booking process is completed, customers who select the rail ticket option will be e-mailed their train ticket from NS Dutch Railways. KLM will continue to collaborate with NS Dutch Railways, and in the coming months, plans on offering further domestic rail connections to and from Schiphol via the CarTrawler platform.
