Starting July 2024, LOT Polish Airlines will begin work to renovate and expand their Business Lounge Polonez in the Schengen Zone at Warsaw International Airport. The official reopening of the refreshed lounge is scheduled for December 2024.
On Wednesday (July 3, 2024), LOT Polish Airlines announced that they will begin the renovation and expansion of the LOT Business Lounge Polonez at Warsaw Chopin Airport this month. The lounge, which is located in airport’s the Schengen zone, will be expanded by 153 square-meters and gain an additional 64 seats, and is expected to officially reopen in December 2024. LOT’s refreshed lounge interior will reflect the carrier’s new brand identity with a focus on Polish hospitality, and will provide guests with an elevated experience while waiting for their flight departure. This is the latest investment by the Polish national carrier, and follows the construction of a new lounge at Chicago O’Hare announced last year, and the modernization of the cabins of their Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet.
In Wednesday’s announcement, LOT Polish Airlines’ Director – Product Development and Customer Experience, Izabela Leszczyńska, said,
“We constantly strive to make the experience of LOT Polish Airlines passengers exceptional at every stage of the journey, which is why we are pleased to announce the reconstruction of our LOT Business Lounge Polonez. From satisfaction surveys, we know that passengers rate the lounge very well, especially valuing our food and beverage offer. However, we realize that in the so-called “outbound waves” the lounge is visited by many travelers, therefore, as part of the modernization, we will introduce more space and modern amenities. I believe that the changes will provide even greater comfort, as well as the ability to work and relax freely. LOT Business Lounge Polonez is the largest lounge at the Chopin Airport, which is LOT’s hub. We want all our customers to experience LOT’s famous hospitality right here, even before boarding. We can’t wait to invite them to a completely changed interior.”
Once expanded and refurbished, the LOT Business Lounge Polonez will occupy a space of more than 860 square-meters. In the newly expanded section, guests will have a view of the bustling terminal on the level below. The lounge’s modern design combines elegance and functionality, and features new, modern furniture, including comfortable seats and sofas. The renovation will take place in stages to ensure the lounge is accessible to guests between now and December. LOT’s Business Lounge Polonez will be open seven days per week from 5:00 am to 11:00 pm.
