LOT Polish Airlines is extending their commercial cooperation with ITA Airways through the signing of a new codeshare agreement. This builds on the current interline agreement and will enable seamless travel to 10 additional Italian destinations.

On Wednesday (April 9, 2025), LOT Polish Airlines announced an expansion of their commercial partnership with ITA Airways, expanding the existing interline agreement with a new codeshare agreement. This will enable LOT’s customers to seamlessly travel on a single ticket with a uniform baggage policy to ten additional destinations in Italy. LOT currently offers service to Milan, Venice and Rome, and with the new codeshare, travelers will enjoy one stop connections to Bari, Bologna, Brindisi, Florence, Genoa, Catania, Lamezia Terme, Naples, Palermo and Turin with ITA Airways. Likewise, ITA Airways’ customers will now be able to enjoy convenient flights from Rome Fiumicino to Warsaw and other destinations served by LOT.
In Wednesday’s announcement, LOT Polish Airlines’ Network Director, Robert Ludera, said,
“Reaching a codeshare agreement with ITA Airways is part of the implementation of our strategy, which includes expanding our offer and improving the quality of our services. Through this cooperation, LOT’s passengers gain access to a wide network of domestic connections in Italy, which will significantly facilitate travel in this beautiful country. We encourage you to discover Italy, now more accessible to travelers from Poland than ever before. We will also be pleased to welcome our partner's travelers on board LOT, providing them with a convenient transfer offer to a wide range of destinations in our route network.”
Also commenting on the new codeshare agreement, ITA Airways’ General Manager and CEO, Joerg Eberhart, added,
“We are pleased to sign this codeshare agreement with LOT Polish Airlines. This partnership is an additional significant step in ITA Airways’ growth strategy, enhancing connectivity for our passengers. It creates a privileged and convenient travel route between Italy and Poland, further strengthening the economic and commercial ties between our two countries. Additionally, it enhances LOT passengers’ travel experience, offering them the opportunity to enjoy the excellence of Made in Italy, which ITA Airways proudly represents as an ambassador worldwide.”
