LOT Polish Airlines Reports Full Year 2024 Net Profit of $174.6 Million

LOT Polish Airlines has reported a FY2024 net profit of PLN 688.5 million (US $174.6 million) on revenue of PLN 9.93 billion (US $2.52 billion), the second highest result in recent decades.

On Tuesday (February 25, 2025), LOT Polish Airlines announced their full year financial results for the period ending December 31, 2024.  The carrier reported a FY2024 net profit of PLN 688.5 million (US $174.6 million) on revenue of PLN 9.93 billion (US $2.52 billion), the second highest result in recent decades.  In 2024, LOT carried a record 10.7 million passengers, up 700,000 compared the pre-pandemic period in 2019.  During 2024, the carrier added a total of 11 new aircraft, including Boeing 737-8 MAX jets, three Embraer E195-E2s, and one Embraer E195.  At December 31, 2024, Lot Polish Airlines’ fleet included 86 aircraft, the largest in the company’s history.     


In Tuesday’s announcement, LOT Polish Airlines’ President of the management Board, Michał Fijoł, said,


“LOT Polish Airlines is now larger and financially stronger. These are the foundations of our strategy, which we are consistently implementing.  I’d like to thank the entire LOT Polish Airlines team and all our partners. Thanks to their hard work, LOT has become the airline of choice in our region, and it will soon become the main carrier at Europe’s most modern airport – the Central Communication Port (CPK).


“I’d like to thank our passengers for every journey they take with us. Our crews and the entire LOT Polish Airlines team do their utmost to ensure every trip meets your expectations. With new aircraft joining our fleet, we’re offering even more exciting destinations. Plus, the recently opened LOT Business Lounge in Chicago, along with the expanded and renovated Polonez lounge in Warsaw, greatly enhance the travel experience for our business passengers.


LOT also expanded their charter flight business in 2024 by cooperating with major travel agencies, and capitalizing on market potential at Warsaw and regional airports.  During the period, LOT increased the available seat kilometers (ASK) for charter flights by 10.6 percent compared to 2023, carrying 1.3 million charter passengers in 2024, up from 1.1 million the previous year.  LOT operated 7,300 charter flights in 2024, a 16.4 percent increase compared to the 6,300 flights operate in 2023. 


In 2024, Lot Polish Airlines also introduced eight new routes, connecting Warsaw to Tashkent, Oradea, Riyadh, Lyon, Athens, Larnaca, Tenerife, and Innsbruck. 


LOT Polish Airlines connects Central and Eastern Europe with the rest of the world, including the U.S., Canada, India, Japan and South Korea.  The carrier operates long-haul flights with state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliners.  Founded in 1929, LOT Polish Airlines is the 11th oldest airline in the world, and is also one of the most internationally recognized Polish brands.
