On Tuesday (December 3, 2024), Lufthansa announced that their new long-haul cabin configuration product, Lufthansa Allegris (Business Class), is now bookable for travel starting March 30, 2025. Customers will also be able to select special Allegris seats on routes from Munich to Shanghai, San Francisco and Chicago. In the coming weeks and months, more destinations will be added where travelers will be able to select an individual Allegris seat. For Business Class bookings, the Classic Seat reservation remains free of charge, while offering all the benefits of the new Allegris travel class.
Passengers can also book seats with additional comfort such as the Business Class Suite, the Extra Space Seat, the Privacy Seat by the window, and the Extra Long Bed with a 2.20 meter reclining area in advance via the seat reservation for an additional charge. Customers can choose between the Privacy Seat and the Extra Long Bed from as little as €100, or the Extra Space Seat from €130. The Lufthansa Business Class Suite offers a personal wardrobe, higher walls, sliding doors, extended personal space and an IFE screen up to 68 cm. This option can be booked in advance from €400. Additionally, Economy Class guests can reserve a seat with more legroom for as little as €50.
As always, First Class suites can be reserved in advance free of charge, though a surcharge from €1,900 will be charged if guests wish to reserve the large Suite Plus for single use. The Suite Plus option provides maximum comfort for the individual guest, but also offers the unique option of traveling with a partner in a suite. In this case, First Class guests can book exclusively via the First Class Hotline at special rates. Lufthansa Group’s most loyal customers also enjoy very special benefits and can select up to 80 percent of the seating options in Business Class free of charge, depending on status. Lufthansa’s Allegris Business Class was recently honored with the German Design Award 2024.
