Lufthansa is now offering new onboard digital content on short and medium-haul flights, including free digital magazines, a new diverse range of podcasts, and a live ticker during the European National Football Championship.
On Tuesday (June 18, 2024), Lufthansa announced an expansion of their onboard digital content offer on short and medium-haul flights. The expanded inflight entertainment (IFE) offer includes access to around 45 renowned German and English-language magazines free of charge via the FlyNet® Wi-Fi portal, to be read on a customer’s own personal device. This service is also available on long-haul flights equipped with the carrier’s new Allegris cabin featuring a new IFE system across all classes. For the first time, guests in all classes can also read magazines on their seatback monitor. As always, passengers can also download a number of eJournals prior to their flight and until the end of their journey, depending on travel class and Miles & More status, with a choice of approximately 1,600 titles in 40 languages.
Additionally, Customers traveling onboard European flights can now enjoy a range of podcasts, with the FlyNet® portal offering a range of articles from various genres, such as business, travel, science and entertainment. Finally, during the European Men’s Football Championships, guests will be able to follow the matches in real time on their own personal devices via a live ticker on FlyNet®. Various football magazines will also be available in the media selection during the European Championship. Naturally, Lufthansa crews on all flights will regularly announce the scores to keep all the fans informed.
