Lufthansa has opened a new 600 square-meter premium lounge at Newark Airport’s Terminal B. The new €10 million lounge features a central Skyline Bar, a bistro area, and an à la carte menu in a private dining area for First Class and HON Circle guests.
On Thursday (August 15, 2024), Lufthansa announced the opening of their new premium lounge in Terminal B at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) in New Jersey. The 600 square-meter €10 million lounge features a central Skyline Bar, where guests can enjoy a large selection of cocktails, wines, spirits and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as craft beers from New Jersey. In the bistro area, visitors can enjoy fresh regional products such as cornbread with candied tomato jam, and sandwiches with trumpet mushrooms, bacon, crisp lettuce and tomato chutney on sourdough bread. Additionally, First Class passengers and HON Circle members will have an opportunity to enjoy an à la carte menu in a private dining area, accompanied by a top selection of wines and champagne.
In Thursday’s announcement, Lufthansa Airlines’ Vice President – Product & Customer Experience, Victoria Schuster, said,

This lounge is a testament to our commitment to the customer as we strive to continually improve the experience for our guests, on the ground and in the air. That’s why we continue to invest in our offering around the world, whether in New Jersey or elsewhere, to meet Lufthansa's premium standards and, above all, those of our guests.”

Lufthansa’s Newark lounge can accommodate approximately 170 guests, a 25 percent capacity increase compared to the previous space. Around one third of the space is dedicated to business travelers, with amenities such as functional communal tables, wireless charging and wireless printing. The remaining space offers comfortable seating for different group sizes, from single seats to seating for couples or larger groups. Additionally, multifunctional rooms offer space for meetings, calls, or for children to play. The Lounge welcomes First and Business Class passengers of all Lufthansa Group Airlines flying to Newark, as well as HON Circle members and Senators. Currently, Lufthansa operates around 60 lounges across 17 locations worldwide.
