Lufthansa’s Award Winning Allegris Cabin in Now Bookable to More Destinations

For summer 2025, Lufthansa’s Allegris cabin will be available on flights from Munich to New York-Newark, San Diego and Charlotte.  Allegris First Class will be available on flights to San Francisco, Chicago, San Diego, Shanghai and Bengaluru.

On Tuesday (February 11, 2025), Lufthansa announced that their award-winning Allegris cabin is now bookable to additional destinations.  Starting March 30th, the new long-haul cabin will be available from Munich to San Diego, and to New York-Newark from April 15th.  From the beginning of August, Allegris will also be available on flights between Munich and Charlotte, North Carolina.  Additionally, the connection to Bengaluru will continue to be offered.  Guests who have already reserved a seat on these flights can now look forward to a complimentary upgrade to a comfortable Allegris seat.  Initially, guests traveling to San Francisco, Chicago, San Diego, Shanghai and Bengaluru will have the opportunity to experience the new First Class with its unique suites.


In Tuesday’s announcement, Lufthansa Airlines’ Chief Customer Officer, Heiko Reitz, said,


“I am delighted that we are offering our guests Lufthansa Allegris on more and more routes.  For flights to the USA alone, customers can choose between five destinations from Munich.  We currently have nine A350-900s with Allegris on board at Lufthansa, six of which already offer our customers the new, highly exclusive First Class. Overall, our new cabin interior is extremely popular with guests – with satisfaction rates in Business Class of well over 90 percent.”


For customers booking in Business Class, the Classic Seat reservation will remain free of charge, while offering all the benefits of the new Allegris Travel class.  For an additional charge, passengers can also book seats in advance with additional comfort, such as the Business Class Suite, the Extra Space Seat with extra space, the Privacy Seat by the window and the Extra Long Bed with a reclining area of 2.20 meters.  Customers can choose between the Privacy Seat and the Extra Long Bed from as little as €100, and the Extra Space Seat from €130.  The Lufthansa Business Class Suite offers higher walls, sliding doors, extended personal space and a monitor measuring up to 68 centimeters, and is bookable in advance from €400.  Economy Class customers can also reserve a seat with more legroom from €50.


As always, the suites in First Class can be reserved in advance free of charge.  Guests can also reserve the Suite Plus for single use for a surcharge from €1,900.  This product combines maximum comfort for the individual guest, as well as the unique opportunity to travel together with a partner in the suite.  First Class guests can book the Suite Plus exclusively via the First Class Hotline at special rates.  Depending on status, Lufthansa Group’s most loyal frequent flyers enjoy special benefits, with the ability to book up to 80 percent of the seat options in Business Class free of charge.


Lufthansa’s new Allegris Business Class has been honored with both he International Design Award 2024 and the German Design Award 2025, with the juries particularly impressed by the innovative seating options, which cater to the needs of the individual guest.  With the integration of innovative elements such as seat heating and cooling delivers a comfortable and customizable travel experience.
