Lufthansa’s New Allegris First Class to Take Flight From March 30, 2025

Lufthansa’s new First Class Allegris First Class cabin is now bookable for flights starting March 30, 2025, with service from Munich to San Francisco, Chicago, San Diego, Shanghai and Bengaluru.

On Wednesday (March 19, 2025), Lufthansa announced that their new Allegris First Class cabin is now bookable for flights starting March 30, 2025, from Munich to San Francisco, Chicago, San Diego, Shanghai and Bengaluru. Other First Class guest innovations include exclusive check-in areas and a renovated lounge in Munich. Travelers can also enjoy the new cabin product in Economy, Premium Economy and Business Class flights to New York-Newark from mid-April, as well to Charlottes from the beginning of August.
In Wednesday’s announcement, Lufthansa Airlines’ Chief Executive Officer, Jens Ritter, said,
“We are completely reinventing the Lufthansa First Class travel experience with Allegris and making it even more exclusive. Our new First Class, with its unique suites, defines the concept of privacy like never before and is unrivaled worldwide. We are also investing in exclusivity and comfort on the ground by completely redesigning our First Class check-in areas and lounges in Munich and Frankfurt.”
Since February, nine Airbus A350-900s with the updated cabin interior have been flying for Lufthansa, with eight including the new First Class. Thus far, nearly half a million passengers in all classes have enjoyed the new cabin. This year, the carrier’s existing fleet will be retrofitted with Lufthansa Allegris will commence, starting with the carrier’s Boeing 747-8s.
Lufthansa’s new Allegris First Class sets new standards with two individual suites and the extraordinary new Suite Plus. Guests can heat of cool their nearly one-meter-wide seats in the individual suites. The separate cabins offer ceiling-high walls and a lockable door, a large table, a wide seat, an up to 43-inch wide IFE screen, and wireless ‘over-ear’ headphones. Additionally, the suite features a personal wardrobe and individual lamps. The unique double cabin, ‘Suite Plus’, offers two wide seats that can be combined into a comfortable double bed, if desired.

Under the project name ‘Future Onboard Experience’, Lufthansa is elevating all service components on long-haul flights, including the culinary offering, tableware, pillows, amenity kits and the service. The upgraded service is scheduled to roll out in 2026, as Lufthansa celebrates their 100th anniversary. Since the end of February, Business Class guests and frequent flyers have also enjoyed new features, such as a new catering concept on short and medium-haul flights with new menus and more hot and cold dish choices. Lufthansa’s lounges in Newark and London Heathrow have also been completely redesigned, with a further 30 lounges scheduled to be renovated this year.
