Miami International Airport Reopens Valet Parking

For the first time since the onset of the global COVID-19 pandemic, and just in time for the busy Labor Day Weekend, Miami International Airport has reopened valet parking. Valet parking is located at the departures level entrance to the Dolphin garage.

On Wednesday (August 31, 2022), Miami International Airport (MIA) announced the reopening of valet parking for the first time since the onset of the global COVID-19 pandemic. Valet parking is located at the departures level entrance to the Dolphin garage, directly across from door 4 of MIA’s concourse D airline check-in area. In September, the airport will also reopen valet parking at the departures level of the Flamingo garage, directly across from door 20 of Concourse J.

In Wednesday’s announcement, MIA’s Director and CEO, Ralph Cutié, said,

“As our passenger traffic continues to set record highs this year, we are proud to bring back this popular parking option. One of our highest priorities is to make MIA as accessible as possible for all our customers. Valet parking in both our garages is the latest way that we are achieving that goal.”

Also commenting on the reopening of valet marking at MIA, Miami-Dade County Mayor, Daniella Levine Cava, added,

“As our airport continues to grow in importance and capacity, we are always looking for ways to offer a better, more efficient service to all our visitors. I am so pleased that travelers will now be able to take advantage of the convenience of valet parking at MIA. Travelers who need additional assistance or a shorter walk to the terminal can once again use this premium service.”

With the convenient option, a valet parking attendant will take the customer’s vehicle and park it in one of 225 dedicated spaces on the departures or arrivals level. Customers will receive a parking receipt with the time and date their car was parked, which they will present upon return to the drop-off location. Returning travelers can also call or text in advance to alert parking attendants that their flights has arrived, so the vehicle is ready for pickup. The speedy service is also available to customers who are picking up passengers. Valet parking rates are $18 for under three hours, $30 for the first three of 24 hours, and $30 each day after for a maximum of 20 days.
