From the 2024 Farnborough International Airshow today, Boeing announced that National Airlines has committed to place their first order for four Boeing 777 Freighters.

On Monday (July 22, 2024) from the 2024 Farnborough International Airshow (FIA), Boeing announced that National Airlines has committed to place their first order for four Boeing 777 Freighters. As the current longest-range twin engine freighter with unmatched cargo capacity, the 777F will help maximize National’s commercial service and boost market share across their global operations. Once finalized, National Airlines’ first direct purchase from Boeing will be posted on the Boeing Orders & Deliveries website.
In Monday’s announcement, National Airlines’ Chairman, Christopher Alf, said,
“We are elated by this remarkable order of four Boeing 777 Freighters. This demonstrates our commitment to offering efficient, resourceful, and modern air freight services to support our global customers' increasing transportation demands. The order affirms our fleet growth plan as we enter into the next chapter of National. We sincerely appreciate the support by Boeing and all its associated teams in this journey ahead.”
Also commenting on the 777 Freighter order, Boeing Commercial Airplane’s President and CEO, Stephanie Pope, said,
“We appreciate National Airlines for its trust in Boeing and the 777 Freighter to grow the carrier's global fleet and deliver greater value for its customers. With its cargo capacity, range and reliability, operators continue to rely on the 777 Freighter to build their future fleets, making it the best-selling freighter of all time.”
National Airlines’ four new 777 Freighters will join the carrier’s expanding fleet of nine Boeing 747-400 Freighters. The 777 Freighter has been designed to seamlessly integrate with 747F operations, allowing operators to easily transfer cargo between the two airplanes, streamlining ground logistics, while leveraging cost savings through fleet commonality.
National’
The Boeing 777 Freighter can carry more freight (107 tonnes) a greater distance (4,970 nautical miles/9,200 km) than any other twin-engine cargo jet. This allows operators to offer more long-range, direct flights without refueling. Boeing provides over 90 percent of the worldwide dedicated freighter capacity, including new production and converted models. The 777 Freighter is Boeing’s best-selling freighter of all time, with over 270 of the type delivered to date.
