Building on the existing partnership where Norwegian Reward and Strawberry loyalty program members can earn and spend Spenn across both programs, Norwegian Reward Priority and Strawberry Platinum members can now enjoy status match.
On Wednesday (February 19, 2025), Norwegian announced an expansion of their loyalty partnership with Strawberry. Norwegian and Strawberry already have a partnership through the rewards currency Spenn, allowing members to earn and spend Spenn across both loyalty programs. Now, Norwegian Reward Priority and Strawberry Platinum members will also enjoy status match, unlocking valuable benefits and privileges.
In Wednesday’s announcement, Norwegian’s Chief Commercial Officer, Magnus Thome Maursund, said,
“We are proud to be able to offer our customers even more benefits through our strong partnership with Strawberry. With this status match, we are further strengthening two very popular loyalty programs, and we are pleased to be able to give Strawberry Platinum members access to Norwegian Reward Priority. This provides a smoother travel experience when flying with Norwegian, including priority boarding, extra baggage and free seat selection.”
Also commenting on the loyalty partnership expansion, Strawberry’s Deputy CEO, Bjørn Arild Wisth, said,
“With Spenn, we give our members the opportunity to earn and spend Spenn when they stay with us or fly with Norwegian. In addition, we now offer our Platinum members to status match with Norwegian Reward Priority, and vice versa. This means more flexibility and even more benefits for our most loyal members.”
Eligible Norwegian Rewards and Strawberry members can take advantage of the status match by downloading the Spenn app and linking their accounts. Then, they must submit a short application in the app, and once approved, will have access to the benefits that come with their membership level in both loyalty programs for 12 months. After this period, the usual terms and conditions for achieving and maintaining status in both programs will apply.
