oneworld Welcomes Fiji Airways to Global Airline Alliance

oneworld has today announced that Fiji Airways will officially become a full member airline from April 1st, 2025. The carrier has also adopted American Airlines’ award-winning AAdvantage as their travel rewards program.

On Monday (March 31, 2025), oneworld announced that Fiji Airways will officially become a full member of the global airline alliance effective April 1st, 2025. Fiji Airways has also adopted American Airlines’ award-winning AAdvantage® loyalty program. As oneworld’s newest member, Fiji Airways can now provide their top tier customers with a full suite of benefits, including access to a network of nearly 700 airport lounges worldwide, including recently opened oneworld branded lounges at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and Seoul Incheon. These customers will also enjoy priority check-in and boarding, the ability to earn and redeem miles, as well as the ability to earn tier points.
In Monday’s announcement, oneworld’s CEO, Nat Pieper, said,

Fiji Airways customers will benefit from oneworld’s global reach of more than 900 destinations, priority services and premium lounge access, and we’re thrilled to welcome them to the oneworld family.”
Also commenting on the airline’s new oneworld membership, Fiji Airways’ Managing Director and CEO, Andre Viljoen, said,
