Porter Adds West Palm Beach and More Than Doubles Capacity to Five Florida Gateways

Porter Airlines is bolstering their Florida network for winter 2024/25 with new service between Toronto Pearson and West Palm Beach.  The carrier will also more than double capacities to Orlando, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa and Fort Myers.

On Wednesday (June 26, 2024), Porter Airlines announced that they will add new service between Toronto Pearson (YYZ) and West Palm Beach (PBI) for the winter 2024/25 season.  The route will operate daily on a seasonal basis starting November 14, 2024.  Porter will also more than double capacity to popular destinations in Florida, including Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Fort Myers (RSW), Miami (MIA), Orlando (MCO) and Tampa (TPA).  Additionally, the carrier is launching new service between Montréal Trudeau International Airport (YUL) to Fort Lauderdale this winter, as well as exclusive service between Montréal and Fort Myers.  Also new for winter 2024/25 will be service from Halifax Stanfield International Airport (YHZ) and both Orlando and Tampa.     


In Wednesday’s announcement, Porter Airlines’ President, Kevin Jackson, said,


“We experienced a strong response to our Florida service last winter.  Now, we’re providing our passengers with substantially more flight options to meet their Florida travel plans this winter, including departures from four major Canadian airports.  What differentiates the Porter experience is our emphasis on style, care and charm.  We provide an elevated economy experience that is unmatched in North America.”


Also commenting on the new Palm Beach service, Palm Beach International Airport’s Director, Laura Beebe, added,


“Palm Beach International (PBI) is excited to welcome Porter to our destination. Having another travel option to Canada's busiest airport, Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ), offers PBI passengers an easy, convenient way to travel whether they are enjoying a leisurely vacation, visiting family and friends or attending a business meeting.”


The routes will operate with a 132-seat Embraer E195-E2 jet, offering a two-by-two seating configuration with no middle seats.  Guests will enjoy the carrier’s elevated onboard economy service with complimentary beer and wine served in glassware, free premium snacks, as well as complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi.  PorterReserve fares also include priority check-in, extra legroom seats, premium mixed cocktails, and fresh, heathy meals.  These ancillaries can also be purchased à la carte with PorterClassic fares.
