Starting May 1st, 2025, Porter Airlines will operate up to three daily flights between Toronto Pearson and New York LaGuardia airports. The route will be serviced with a new 132-seat Embraer E195-E2 jet, offering an elevated travel experience and free Wi-Fi.
On Monday (January 27, 2025) Porter Airlines announced the launch of new service between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and New York’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA). From May 1st, 2025, the route will operate up to three times daily with a 132-seat Embraer E195-E2 jet. Porter will be based at LaGuardia’s new, award-winning Terminal B, which recently underwent a U.S. $5.1 billion redevelopment. Inbound customers to Toronto will enjoy seamless one-stop connections to destinations across Porter’s extensive domestic network, including Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Montréal, Ottawa, Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Vancouver. Likewise, customers arriving at LGA will enjoy convenient connections via Porter’s interline partnership with JetBlue.
In Monday’s announcement, Porter Airlines’ VP – Network Planning and Reporting, Andrew Pierce, said,
“We have built a strong passenger base over more than 15 years for those travelling between Canada and the New York metropolitan area. The addition of LaGuardia introduces a new dimension to our network, opening more options for existing customers and the ability to attract new ones within the busiest air service corridor connecting Canada and the U.S.”
Also commenting on Porter’s new LGA service, LaGuardia Airport’s General Manager, Tony Vero, said.

Guests traveling on Porter’s new 132-seat E195-E2s will enjoy an elevated onboard economy service with complimentary beer and wine served in glassware, free premium snacks, as well as complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi. PorterReserve fares also include priority check-in, extra legroom seats, premium mixed cocktails, and fresh, heathy meals. These ancillaries can also be purchased à la carte with PorterClassic fares.
