Starting July 12, 2024, Qantas will launch new, exclusive direct service between Perth and Paris. To mark the debut of the new route, the carrier has announced a range of French-inspired onboard amenities and experiences, from menus to comfort kits and pajamas.
On Tuesday (June 25, 2024), Qantas announced the launch of a range of French-inspired onboard experiences ahead of the start of their exclusive new direct service between Perth and Paris, which commences on July 12, 2024. Business Class guests will enjoy chic limited-edition Martin Grant pajamas and matching amenity kits, as well as a curated French menu designed by Neil Perry, Qantas Group’s Creative Director – Food, Beverage and Service. Menu selections will include Bouillabaisse of snapper and Skull Island prawns, pithivier of chicken and tarragon with onion puree, and chocolate mousse with caramel poached pears, almonds and chantilly cream. Classic French bistro favorites will also be on offer across select Qantas First and Business Class lounges throughout Australia, including crème caramel and goat cheese salad with walnut vinaigrette.
In Tuesday’s announcement, Qantas Group’s Chief Customer and Digital Officer, Catriona Larritt, said,
“Our new direct Perth to Paris flights will cut around three hours off the current fastest travel time between the two cities and are shaping up to be really popular, particularly during the busy summer months. We know how much our customers love our signature pyjamas and relaxing with a drink and meal when they fly with us, so we’re excited to launch these bespoke initiatives to give them a taste of the city of light before they land.”
Also commenting on the amenities collaboration, Australian designer, Martin Grant, said,
“After living in Paris for the past 30 years, the direct Perth-Paris flights will make it easy to fly from one home to another. I was thrilled to be able to team up with Qantas again to create the pyjamas and amenity kit to celebrate these new flights and the simplicity of French design.”
Qantas Group’s Creative Director – Food, Beverage and Service, Neil Perry, added,
“French cuisine is made up of so many amazing classic dishes, we spent a lot of time developing a menu that captures the balance of richness and freshness in French flavours whilst also keeping an element of familiarity that our customers love.”
Additionally, a French 75 cocktail will be available for Business Class guests, which combines gin, lemon and sparkling wine to create a crisp, bubbly and refreshing aperitif.
