Qatar Airways’ inaugural flight between Doha and Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport touched down on Sunday, October 31st, 2021, as the carrier has moved operations from Moscow Domodedovo. The aircraft deployed on the route feature the airline’s award-winning Qsuite.
On Monday (November 1, 2021), Qatar Airways announced the launch of inaugural service between Doha and Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport (SVO), which took place on Sunday, October 31st, 2021. The carrier has now moved their operations in Moscow from Domodedovo Airport to SVO. The aircraft deployed on the route will feature Qatar Airways’ award-winning Business Class Qsuite with the industry’s first-ever double bed and stowable private panels that allow guests in adjoining seats to create a private room.
In Monday’s announcement, Qatar Airways Group’s Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said,
“With our growing network, we can offer passengers from Sheremetyevo seamless connectivity to popular destinations in Asia, Africa, Middle East and the Americas, and top sunshine getaways like Maldives, Seychelles and Zanzibar via the ‘Best Airport in the World 2021’, Hamad International Airport (HIA).”
Also commenting on Qatar Airways’ new service to SVO, PJSC Sheremetyevo International Airport’s Director General, Mikhail Vasilenko, said,

Qatar Airways currently offers service to 140 destinations worldwide, and the carrier’s flexible booking policy offers unlimited changes in travel dates and destinations, as well as fee-free refunds on all tickets for travel completed by May 31, 2022.
Multi award-winning Qatar Airways was recently named ‘Airline of the Year’ for the sixth time at the 2021 World Airline Awards managed by Skytrax. The carrier also received awards for the ‘World’s Best Business Class’, ‘World’s Best Business Class Airport Lounge’, ‘World’s Best Business Class Seat’, ‘World’s Best Business Class Onboard Catering’, and ‘Best Airline in the Middle East’.
