Qatar Airways will launch their new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner featuring an all-new Business Class Suite on key European and Asian routes, starting with service between Doha and Milan on Friday, June 25, 2021.
On Thursday (June 24, 2021), Qatar Airways announced the launch of their new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner featuring the airline’s highly-anticipated new Business Class Suite. The aircraft will be deployed on key European and Asian routes, starting with service between Doha and Milan on Friday June 25, 2021. The ultra-modern aircraft features 30 Business Class Suites and 281 Economy Class seats, for a total passenger capacity of 311. The new 787-9 Dreamliner is currently scheduled for services from Doha to Athens, Barcelona, Dammam, Karachi, Kuala Lumpur, Madrid and Milan. Qatar Airways’ new Adient Ascent Business Class Suite has been crafted with the airline’s unique DNA, appealing to the most discerning of travelers. The Suite embodies a contemporary design, that is personal, spacious and functional, allowing guests to relax in their own private sanctuary.
In Thursday’s announcement, Qatar Airways Group’s Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said,
“The new Business Class Suite sets yet another industry standard with a uniquely private experience for premium passengers travelling with us, which is becoming increasingly valuable during this pandemic, while showcasing Qatar Airways’ 5-star standards of excellence and Qatari hospitality that are quintessential on all of our flights. Our passengers deserve the best and I am confident that they will appreciate the larger Dreamliner variant for its unmatched comfort in the sky. Passengers can rest assured that its responsible impact on the environment fully aligns with our ambition to achieve the highest levels of sustainability.”
The new Adient Ascent Business Class Suites are arranged in a herringbone pattern with a 1-2-1 configuration. Eash suite has direct aisle access and a sliding door to ensure the highest level of privacy and comfort. Additionally, guests in adjacent center suites can slide the privacy panels away with the touch of a button to create their very own enclosed private space. The Business Class Suite transforms into a fully-flat 79-inch bed, offering elevated levels of comfort. The Suite is also equipped with a dedicated phone holder featuring wireless charging technology that is compatible with iOS and Android devices.
Economy Class guests traveling on Qatar Airways’ new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner will enjoy Recaro seats featuring the latest design and technology. Each seat has been equipped with a 13-inch Panasonic IFE touch screen, as well as a personal electronic device holder for mobile and iPad devices. Additionally, the seats feature a rotatable armrest that can be completely stowed away to the backrest, providing a more spacious and comfortable experience. The Boing 787-9 is that latest member of the 787 Family of aircraft to join the airline's fleet. Qatar Airways was the Middle East launch customer for the 787, and has operated their fleet of 30 787-8s throughout the global COVID-19 pandemic.
