Qatar Airways will resume service to Phuket, Thailand on July 1st, 2021. The carrier will offer four weekly flights to Phuket, complementing 12 weekly flights to Bangkok. Separately, the carrier announced an expansion of their strategic codeshare partnership with Oman Air.
On Tuesday (June 1, 2021), Qatar Airways announced the resumption of service to Phuket, Thailand with four weekly flights starting July 1st, 2021. The resumed service expands the carrier’s service to Thailand to 16 weekly flights, including 12 weekly flights to Bangkok, providing seamless connectivity to customers traveling from Europe, the Middle East and the United States. Qatar Airways first launched service to Phuket in 2010, which became the carrier’s 93rd destination at the time. The route will be serviced with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner configured with 22 Business Class and 232 Economy Class seats. As Thailand reopens to holidaymakers around the world, fully vaccinated visitors will be able to visit once again while enjoying Qatar Airways’ award-winning hospitality and service both in the air and at their Hamad International Airport hub in Doha.
In Tuesday’s announcement, Qatar Airways Group’s Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said,

In a separate announcement on Monday (May 31, 2021), Qatar Airways reported an expansion of their codeshare partnership with Oman Air, which will now cover over 80 destinations on the Qatar Airways network.
Speaking on the codeshare expansion, H.E. Mr. Akbar Al Baker said,

With the codeshare expansion, Oman Air customers will now enjoy seamless connections via Doha on 16 new routes including service to Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Bodrum, Istanbul, Sabiha and Izmir in Turkey; Berlin and Munich, Germany; Mykonos, Greece; St. Petersburg, Russia; Zurich, Switzerland; Atlanta and Seattle in the USA; Abuja, Nigeria; Johannesburg, South Africa; and Gassim, Saudi Arabia.
