Air Belgium has signed a TotalCare® service agreement with Rolls-Royce for the Trent 7000 engines that power the carrier’s two new Airbus A330neos. This was Air Belgium’s first TotalCare agreement and was activated following a ceremony at Brussels Airport.
On Wednesday (October 13, 2021), Rolls-Royce announced the signing of a new TotalCare agreement with Air Belgium for the Trent 7000 engines that power the airline’s two new Airbus A330neos. The TotalCare agreement, a first for Air Belgium, was activated following a ceremony at Brussels Airport, where the carrier also launched inaugural service to Mauritius. TotalCare is Rolls-Royce’s flagship integrated engine service and has been designed for predictive maintenance planning and off-wing repair and overhaul. The service transfers time-on-wing and maintenance cost risk back to Rolls-Royce, and offers enhanced engine health monitoring, as well as future product enhancements.
In Wednesday’s announcement, Air Belgium’s Chief Executive Officer, Niky Terzakis, said,
“Our new aircraft are an important investment in our future, delivering new levels of efficiency and sustainability. Our TotalCare agreement will ensure we maximise availability, which maximises those benefits for our customers.”
Also commenting on the new TotalCare agreement, Rolls-Royce’s Senior Vice President – John Kelly, added,
“It is great to have Air Belgium become the latest member of our family of Trent operators to take TotalCare. We look forward to supporting them with a smooth entry into service and for years to come.”
Rolls-Royce’s large, capable and competitive CareNetwork supports engines at every point in their lifecycle, thereby delivering higher aircraft availability and long-term residual values.
