On Wednesday (February 26, 2025), SAS announced an expansion of their codeshare partnership with Air France-KLM, offering even more travel options for customers. For the very first time, SAS’ guests will enjoy seamless access to Fortaleza and Salvador de Bahia in Brazil, as well as Johannesburg and Cape Town in South Africa, marking a significant milestone in the carrier’s commitment to strengthening Scandinavian connectivity. This expansion is in addition to the current codeshare within Europe and to/from Tokyo with Air France and KLM.
In Wednesday’s announcement, SAS’ Chief Commercial Officer, Paul Verhagen, said,
“Our partnership with Air France-KLM continues to unlock new opportunities for our travelers, and we are thrilled to now offer our customers a trip to Fortaleza and Salvador de Bahia for the first time ever. This is just the beginning — our list of codeshare destinations will continue to grow, enhancing connectivity and convenience for both SAS’ and our partners’ customers.”
With the expanded agreement, SAS now offers connectivity to/from Scandinavia to new Asian destinations such as Osaka and Bangkok, along with Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Fortaleza, and Salvador de Bahia (Brazil), and Johannesburg and Cape Town (South Africa).
