SAS has today announced that they have officially joined the global SkyTeam airline alliance, marking a major milestone for the carrier. SAS guests will benefit from seamless connectivity to over 1,060 destinations across SkyTeam’s extensive global network.
On Sunday (September 1st, 2024), SAS announced that they have officially joined the SkyTeam global airline alliance. As SkyTeam’s newest member, SAS will contribute to the alliance’s focus on operational synergies and sustainability, while SAS customers will benefit from seamless connectivity to over 1,060 destinations in SkyTeam’s extensive global network. New travel opportunities include destinations in regions such as Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean. Currently, SAS has codeshare agreements in place with Air France-KLM, with more SkyTeam members to follow in the future.
In Sunday’s announcement, SkyTeam’s Chairman, Andres Conesa, said,

Starting today, SAS EuroBonus members will be able to earn and redeem points across most SkyTeam airlines, while Gold and Diamond members will enjoy access to SkyPriority services and lounges worldwide. SAS EuroBonus Silver members will also be recognized as SkyTeam Elite, and Gold and Diamond members will be elevated to Elite Plus.
