SAS Reveals Largest Ever Summer Schedule Expansion With 28 New Routes Across 17 Countries

For summer 2025, SAS will operate 278 routes, including 28 new routes across 17 countries.  In total, the carrier will provide 23 million seats for the season, 2.2 million more than summer 2024.

On Tuesday (April 1, 2025), SAS announced their largest-ever schedule expansion for summer 2025.  In total, the carrier will operate 278 routes for the season, including 28 new routes across 17 countries.  SAS’ schedule expansion includes service to Madrid, Budapest, Krakow, Lyon, Wroclaw, and Nuuk in Greenland, among others, with most flights departing from Copenhagen, complemented by frequent connections from Oslo, Stockholm, and other Scandinavian cities.  The schedule also includes new intercontinental routes with four weekly flights to Seoul, five weekly flights to Seattle, and service to Beirut with three weekly departures from Copenhagen and two from Stockholm.


In Tuesday’s announcement, SAS’ Vice President – Network, Henrik Winell, said,


“This summer program represents an important milestone for SAS as we embark on our largest summer expansion ever, introducing 28 new routes and significantly increasing capacity to 23 million seats.  By broadening our network and optimizing travel options, we will provide our customers with unparalleled access to destinations across Europe, North America, Asia, and the Middle East, while continuing to consolidate Copenhagen’s role as a European world-class travel hub.”


Additionally, Stockholm will feature new direct flights to Reykjavík and Bodø, while Oslo will offer daily service to New York-JFK, and weekly flights to Rhodes.  Bergen will also see two new weekly flights to Malaga.
