On Wednesday (February 12, 2025), SAS announced the launch of new summer 2025 seasonal service between Stockholm Arlanda and Keflavik in Iceland, complementing existing year-round service from Copenhagen and Oslo. Flights between Arlanda and Keflavik will operate between June 22nd and August 11, 2025, to meet the increasing demand for travel to Iceland. The schedule has been optimized with overnight flights, making it ideal for long weekend trips, where travelers can enjoy the midnight sun. A key highlight of the Icelandic summer, the 24-hour daylight allows for activities like hiking, and exploring glaciers, volcanic areas and waterfalls, as well as to experience Reykjavik’s culture and vibrant nightlife.
In Wednesday’s announcement, SAS’ Vice President – Network, Henrik Winnell, said,
“We are pleased that our travelers will be able to take full advantage of the extended daylight hours, allowing them to experience everything Iceland has to offer — whether for business or leisure. Additionally, our flight schedule lets passengers sleep while on the move from Iceland, with the added benefit of saving on hotel costs.”
SAS’ optimized Arlanda-Keflavik schedule has been designed to ensure smooth, seamless connectivity to and from Sweden, the Baltics, Finland, and other countries.
