Ukrainian Airline SkyUp continues to expand their ACMI (aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance) division. From April 1st through October 31, 2024, the airline operated 44.7 percent more flights than the same period in 2023.
On Monday (November 11, 2024), SkyUp Airlines announced the continued expansion of their ACMI operations. During the period from April 1st through October 31, 2024, the airline operated 10,129 flights and carried 1,523,414 passengers, an increase of 44.7 percent compared to the same period last year. During 2024, SkyUp Airlines expanded their reach to 143 airports in 49 countries worldwide. The growth in flight frequencies and destinations highlights the strong demand for the carrier’s ACMI services.
In Monday’s announcement, SkyUp Airlines’ General Director, Dmytro Sieroukhov, said,
“We have been active in the ACMI market for over two years, and it remains a key focus for our airline. The results from the 2024 season show positive growth. During this period, we significantly increased the number of flights and passengers carried, which reflects the growing trust our partners have in us. We see continued potential for growth in the ACMI sector and will keep working to expand this segment.
During the period between April and October 2024, SkyUp partnered with seven airlines under ACMI contracts, including Wizz Air, HiSKY, Arkia, US-Bangla and Israir. The top three countries with the highest number of flights operated by SkyUp during the period were Egypt (1,526 flights), Romania (1,445 flights), and Moldova (923 flights). SkyUp is a Ukrainian Airline that commenced operations in 2018. Since that time, the carrier has significantly expanded their network, and strengthened international partnerships.
