Southwest Airlines Customers Can Now Book Flights With Expedia

Southwest Airlines today announced that Expedia Group has become the first major online travel agency to offer Southwest flights.  The agreement covers the airline’s entire network of 117 destinations in 11 countries.

On Wednesday (February 26, 2025), Southwest Airlines announced the launch of a new partnership with Expedia Group, where the major online travel agency will offer Southwest flights across the carrier’s entire network of 117 destinations in 11 countries. This applies to the Group’s portfolio of brands, including Expedia, Travelocity, Hotwire, Orbitz and CheapTickets.  The partnership boosts visibility for Southwest Airlines, while leveraging Expedia Group’s advanced data analytics and AI-driven tools, which help airlines to reach over 10 million average daily visitors across the Group’s websites.   Customers will be able to book Southwest flights across the Expedia Group’s platforms starting Thursday, February 27, 2025.


In Wednesday’s announcement, Southwest Airlines’ EVP – Customer and Brand, Tony Roach, said,


“We are pleased to continue broadening our distribution network through this cost-effective agreement with Expedia.  We look forward to welcoming new travelers to our extensive network, inviting them to experience our unique Southwest Hospitality.”

 

Also commenting on the new partnership, Expedia Group’s Chief Commercial Officer, Greg Schulze, added,
