Spirit Airlines has launched new daily service from Norfolk, Virginia to Fort Lauderdale and Orlando. Inbound customers to Florida will also enjoy convenient one-stop connections to Spirit’s network destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean.
On Wednesday (March 8, 2023), Spirit Airlines announced the launch of new daily service between Norfolk International Airport (ORF) in Virginia and both Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Orlando (MCO) in Florida. Norfolk becomes Spirit’s second airport in Virginia, as the carrier has offered service to/From Richmond (RIC) since March 2018. Inbound guests to Florida can also enjoy seamless one-stop connections to Spirit’s network destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean. In Wednesday’s announcement, Spirit Airlines’ Vice President of network planning, John Kirby, said,
“Our Norfolk Guests are in for a great ride when they discover our low fares and convenient nonstop flights to two popular destinations boasting amusement parks, beaches and attractions. We can't wait to welcome Norfolk travelers onboard, and look forward to investing in the airport and the community through the Spirit Charitable Foundation.”
Also commenting on Spirit’s new service, Norfolk Airport Authority’s President and CEO, Mark Perryman, said,
