Starting June 24, 2021, Spirit Airlines will launch new daily service from Milwaukee’s Mitchell International Airport (MKE) and Orlando, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Spirit will become the only carrier offering direct flights between MKE and LAX.
On Wednesday (February 24, 2021), Spirit Airlines announced the launch of new nonstop service between Milwaukee and three new destinations. From June 24, 2021, the carrier will offer daily service from Milwaukee’s Mitchell International Airport (MKE) and Orlando (MCO), Las Angeles (LAX) and Las Vegas (LAS). With the new service, Spirit will become the only carrier to offer direct flights between MKE and LAX. In today’s announcement, Spirit Airlines’ Vice President of Network Planning, John Kirby, said,
“We've had our eye on Milwaukee for a long time, and we're excited to bring our unique value proposition to the Brew City. It's a win-win because our Badger State Guests will get to enjoy convenient nonstop service to popular destinations, and Spirit frequent fliers can experience Milwaukee's great festivals and sports scene and enjoy fun outdoor activities just in time for summer.”
Also commenting on the new service, Mitchell International Airport’s Director, Brian Dranzik, added,
“We know that Milwaukee residents love to travel, and adding a new airline provides even more opportunities to connect with friends, family, and business partners in other states. Spirit's legendary low fares will make it even more affordable for people from all walks of life to fly to and from Milwaukee.”
