Spirit Airlines to Launch New Savannah Service

Spirit Airlines is launching new service Between Savannah, Georgia and New York-Newark, Fort Lauderdale, Nashville and Detroit.

On Tuesday (April 8, 2025), Spirit Airlines announced new service to and from Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV). Starting August 14th, the carrier will launch daily nonstop service between Savannah and New York-Newark (EWR), followed by service from Savannah to Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Nashville (BNA) on October 9th, and Savannah-Detroit (DTW) flights on October 10, 2025. Celebrating the launch of the new Savannah routes, Spirit is offering introductory one-way fares from $59 to $79 (T&C’s apply). Savannah will become Spirit’s second destination in Georgia, complementing existing service to Atlanta.
In Tuesday’s announcement, Spirit Airlines’ VP – Network Planning, John Kirby, said,
“We look forward to welcoming our Savannah Guests onboard soon and offering them new, elevated travel options with unmatched value to visit exciting destinations across the East Coast and Midwest. Savannah is an incredible destination, and we know our Guests will love exploring this coastal gem while immersing themselves in the city's historic charm and vibrant art scene.”
Also commenting on Spirit’s new Savannah service, the Savannah Airport Commission’s Executive Director, Greg Kelly, added,

“We have been working hard to get Spirit to add SAV to their route structure. We believe Spirit is a great fit for our market, and the cities they are adding will be a strong addition for our community and region. We appreciate Spirit for adding us to their system, and we will work hard to ensure their success and growth here in SAV.”
