Spirit Airlines is adding Rochester International Airport to their route map with new daily nonstop service to Orlando, Florida and four weekly flights to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina from June 24, 2022.
On Tuesday (February 15, 2022), Spirit Airlines announced the addition of Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC) in upstate New York to their route network. Starting June 24, 2022, the carrier will offer daily service from Rochester to Orlando, Florida (MCO) and four weekly flights to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (MYR). Spirit will offer the only daily nonstop service from Rochester to the airport’s number one destination, Orlando, home to world famous theme park attractions and family-friendly entertainment. Additionally, Spirit will offer the only direct service between Rochester and Myrtle Beach, where visitors can enjoy 60 miles of beautiful coastline and over 100 courses offered in ‘The Golf Capital of the World’.
In Today’s announcment, Spirit Airlines’ Vice President of Network Planning, John Kirby, said,

With our low fares and nonstop flights, Amusement Park thrill seekers and beachgoers can take off on the quickest routes to the places they want to travel to the most.”
Also commenting on the new service, County Executive for Rochester International Airport, Adam Bello, added,
“Whether you’re planning a family vacation to Disney World or Universal Studios in Orlando or a trip to Myrtle Beach for a golf getaway, Spirit Airlines offers a convenient and affordable way to travel to those two popular vacation destinations.
