Spirit Airlines to Resume Daily Nonstop Service Between Fort Lauderdale and Managua, Nicaragua

From November 30, 2022, Spirit Airlines will resume daily nonstop service between Fort Lauderdale and Managua, Nicaragua. The resumed service also offers convenient connections via Fort Lauderdale to and from 26 cities across the carrier’s network.

On Friday (August 26, 2022), Spirit Airlines announced the restart of daily service between Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Managua, Nicaragua (MGA) starting November 30, 2022. The resumed service expands the carrier’s international network to 29 markets across Latin America and the Caribbean, including neighboring Central American destinations in Costs Rica, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala and Panama. Spirit’s return to Managua will provide a convenient and affordable option for family and friends to reconnect while exploring Nicaragua’s historic sites, vibrant culture and natural beauty.


In today’s announcment, Spirit Airlines’ Director of International Stations, Camilo Martelo, said,


“We’re eager to welcome back our Nicaraguan Guests and excited to make travel to and from Managua accessible for families, friends, and visitors again. We have a 15-year history serving Nicaragua and are proud to give South Florida and Managua back the affordable fares and signature service they've come to know when traveling between our countries.”
