Star Alliance has announced that SAS EuroBonus Gold and Silver status members can now request a loyalty status match/challenge with select Star Alliance member airlines.
On Monday (September 2, 2024), Star Alliance announced that SAS EuroBonus Gold and Silver status members can now request a loyalty status match with select Star Alliance member airlines. Star Alliance believes that this is a compelling offer for customers in Northern Europe who seek seamless connectivity and unmatched loyalty benefits. Star Alliance member airlines operate over 3,650 monthly flights to Scandinavia from 26 hubs worldwide, offering travelers connections to more than 1,070 international destinations, more than any other airline alliance.
In Monday’s announcement, Star Alliance’s Vice President – Strategy, Renato Ramos, said,
“Global travellers today seek unmatched network, access to more lounges, and benefits at more airports. With its 25 world-class member airlines, only Star Alliance is best positioned to deliver these advantages to frequent flyers in the Nordic countries.”
Star Alliance airlines participation in the status match/challenge campaign include Air Canada, Air China, Air India, Ethiopian Airlines, Lufthansa Group airlines, South African Airways, TAP Air Portugal, THAI, Turkish Airlines, and United Airlines, who are offering status match across gold and silver tiers, as applicable. Status holders can request Star Alliance status match across the aforementioned airlines by clicking here.
The offer is available from September 1st through November 30, 2024. Currently, 18 Star Alliance member airlines offer direct flights to/from Scandinavia, including Aegean Airlines, Air Canada, Air China, Air India, ANA, Austrian, Brussels Airlines, Croatia Airlines, EGYPTAIR, Ethiopian Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, SWISS, TAP Air Portugal, THAI, Turkish Airlines, and United Airlines.
