SWISS now offers Business Class guests traveling on long-haul flights departing Switzerland the option of pre-selecting their inflight meal free of charge. In addition to ‘SWISS Taste of Switzerland’ meals, travelers can choose from four additional dishes.

On Wednesday (May 25, 2022), Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) announced a new pre-selection meal option for Business Class guests traveling on long-haul flights departing Switzerland. The complimentary service includes four more meal choices in addition to the popular ‘SWISS Taste of Switzerland’ menu. Customers can place pre-orders within four weeks and up to 36 hours prior to departure, which will guarantee that they will be able to enjoy their preferred meal onboard. The new option is effective immediately for all long-haul flights on departure from Zurich, and will be available from Geneva starting June 1st, 2022.
With the added options, SWISS long-haul Business Class guests can now choose from a wide and varied selection of eight main inflight meals. Of the four new pre-selection meal options, three draw their inspiration from Swiss cuisine and include a ‘Züri Geschnetzeltes’ (sliced veal in cream sauce), meatloaf with morel sauce and perch fillets with lemon butter. The fourth option is a red vegetable curry with basmati rice from SWISS’ long-standing culinary partner, Zurich’s Hiltl vegetarian restaurant. The current cycle of the ‘SWISS Taste of Switzerland’ culinary program offers a main meal selection of beef tenderloin with peppercorn sauce, herb-stuffed chicken, pikeperch fillet with lemon beurre blanc, or the vegetarian option of Singapore noodles with vegetables (also from Hiltl, the world’s oldest vegetarian restaurant).
SWISS guests traveling in all classes can still pre-order special meals, depending on the flight, with options such as kosher or gluten-free meals. These meals can be ordered free of charge upon booking, or later via the airline’s Service Center.
