SWISS has appointed Christian Sigg as Head of Revenue Steering effective June 15, 2021. Mr. Sigg is currently the airline’s Head of Business Development and Executive Office. He succeeds Roy Lease, who became Lufthansa Group’s Head of Partnership Management.
On Friday (May 7, 2021), Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) announced the appointment of Christian Sigg (44) as the carrier’s new Head of Revenue Steering. Sigg is currently Head of Business Development and Executive Office at SWISS and he will succeed Roy Lease in his new position. Earlier this month, Roy Lease became Head of Partnership Management for the Lufthansa Group. In his new role, Christian Sigg will report to Marcus Frank, Head of Offer Management Lufthansa Group Airlines and to SWISS Chief Commercial Officer Tamur Goudarzi Pour.
In Friday’s announcement, SWISS’s Chief Commercial Officer, Tamur Goudarzi Pour, said,
“With his broad range of experience and his analytical capabilities, Christian Sigg is ideally equipped for his new position. I am delighted to welcome him to our Commercial Division, and I wish him every success.”
As SWISS’s new Head of Revenue Steering, Mr. Sigg will be responsible for revenue steering and management of SWISS flights in Zurich and Geneva, as well as Edelweiss flights.
Christian Sigg joined SWISS in 2013 where he worked in Ground Product Development and later served as Head of Leisure sales for Switzerland. In 2019 he was appointed to the position of Head of Business Development and Executive Office, with responsibility for the strategic development of SWISS’s operational, conceptual and divisional strategy activities. In his current position, Sigg is also in charge of Organizational Development, Corporate Responsibility, Innovation & Digitization, Process Excellence (KAIZEN) and supra-divisional projects such as SWISS’s strategic partnership with the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB).
Currently, Christian Sigg continues to coordinate the carrier’s restructuring program, which was initiated in response to the early 2020 onset of the global COVID-19 pandemic. Mr. Sigg is a native of Bern, Switzerland and holds a Masters of Science degree in Management, Technology & Economics from ETH Zurich. SWISS will announce succession arrangements shortly as part of their ongoing restructuring process.
