On Wednesday (September 6, 2023), Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) introduced the latest chapter of their popular ‘Swiss Taste of Switzerland’ onboard foodservice program. The latest edition features Canton Geneva and the culinary offer has been designed by Olivier Jean, the Executive Chef at the luxury Woodward hotel, Geneva’s newest five-star hotel and a member of the prestigious Oetker Collection. SWISS’ Premium Economy guests can also enjoy a three-course meal featuring specialties form the Geneva region.

For the next three months, First and Business Class guests can enjoy Chef Jean’s dishes, which have been inspired by the meals he creates for the Woodward hotel’s restaurant, L’Atelier Robuchon. When designing his menus, Olivier Jean subtly blends French haute cuisine with Asian influences and local specialties. L’Atelier Robuchon proudly holds a Michelin star and 15 GaultMillau points.

In Wednesday’s announcement, SWISS’ Head of Brand Experience, Julia Hillenbrand, said,

“We are delighted to offer our inflight guests the sophisticated creations of L’Atelier Robuchon at the five-star The Woodward hotel. In Olivier Jean we have secured the services of one of the best culinary ambassadors of Canton Geneva. And as The Airline of Switzerland, we are particularly pleased to welcome the ‘Romandie’ back aboard.”

First Class guests can enjoy delicacies such as miso-marinated pike-perch with port wine sauce, baked polenta, shallot confit and pak choi, while Business Class travelers can look forward to fine delights such as poached char with lemongrass sauce, sesame sushi rice, sugar snap peas and roasted squash. The complete Swiss Taste of Switzerland Canto Geneva menus are available here: First Class, Business Class, Premium Economy.

Launched in 2002, SWISS’s award-winning ‘SWISS Taste of Switzerland’ inflight culinary program has been inviting a new top chef from a selected Siss canton aboard every three months, to present and share Switzerland’s gastronomic diversity aloft. The meals are also accompanied by wine and cheese specialties from the featured region. To date, SWISS taste of Switzerland has welcomed 81 guest chefs representing each of Switzerland’s 26 cantons.
